"The Dragon and the Lion"

Once an old and crooked dragon
laid his gaze upon the land
with the darkness in his mind
and the flames at his command.
His firstborn saw the evil
of the one he stood beside
but, being one of his kin,
he delayed his reply.

Greatness or madness awaits for the land ?
Will the fire protect us or kill every man?
Let's flip a coin...

So a quick and ferocious lion
gathered all the animals around
and with the strength of claws and speeches
convinced them to hunt the dragon down.
Then war, blood and death came
and the dragon cub finally took his side:
after overcoming a mountain,
he began his long flight.

The new rises, the old dies out
but the resentful lion never forgot the past.
Penetrating into the dragons' cave,
he made his final move at last.
Now, young and noble reptile,
will you live up to your name?
Will fire and blood fill the cave?
Or the faith of animals will you regain?
